Fulfillingness' First Finale - Amsterdam
I started this painting many years ago, realising early that I was attempting something that was beyond my skill level. So I put it away until now. It comes from the very first photograph I took in Prinsengracht, Amsterdam 2015. I had embarked on a solo three month tour of seeing live music.
This title comes from Stevie Wonder's album Fulfillingness' First Finale (1974). For what seemed like the first time in my life, I was free. My immediate future was so exciting as I ate breakfast and pinched myself. Finally alone. So fulfilled and hopeful. Planning my day ahead. Eating a delicious European breakfast while looking at the passers by. I hope you see through my eyes with this painting and gain the same feelings as you start each day.
